Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

Pier 66 Market & Liquor Store is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our store, including supervising sales floor staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales floor staff, including cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering merchandise and authorizing returns.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:

Pier 66 Market & Liquor Store is a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

30 to 35 hours per week.
