About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 2444125 Ontario Inc. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train sales staff, including apprentices and design team members, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign sales workers to duties, including sales floor coverage, customer service, and visual merchandising.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Hire and train new staff members, including arranging for training and development programs.
  • Authorize Payments and Merchandise Returns: Authorize payments by cheque and returns of merchandise, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and compliant with company policies.
  • Order and Manage Inventory: Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to a wide range of products.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for sales staff, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise to customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Resolve customer issues, including complaints and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to a wide range of products.
  • Manage Cash and Conduct Performance Reviews: Manage cash and conduct performance reviews of sales staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in retail management or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
