Landscape Labourer Job Description

MBD Landscaping & Snow Removal is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our landscaping crew, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various tasks to maintain our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure they are properly supported and stable.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Client focus and ability to work with clients to meet their needs.
  • Organized and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a variety of outdoor environments, including gardens, parks, and construction sites.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
