Job Summary

Lansdowne Excavation Limited is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in excavation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and inspect heavy equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and order parts and maintain inventory.
  • Equipment Operation: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, test repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date.
  • Team Collaboration: Instruct apprentices and work with other team members to ensure smooth excavation operations.
Work Environment

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors, in cold/refrigerated, dusty, and hot environments. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 44 hours per week.
