The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

In this role as Data Science Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for validating complex models used in risk management, including pricing, Value-at-Risk (VaR), Compliance, Market, and Liquidity risk models. Your primary duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive testing frameworks based on regulatory guidelines, such as SR11-7 and OCC.
  • Employing advanced statistical and mathematical techniques in validation activities.
  • Preparing detailed reports on validations performed in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Presenting data and validation results in a compelling manner to support decisions to respective committees.

You will work closely with stakeholders to conduct risk assessment testing and maintain accurate records of model validations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Master's degree in a STEM science, such as Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics, and have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in model validation/model development and quantitative finance. You should also have knowledge of programming languages, including Python, R, and SAS, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
