HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner role at Yukon University is a critical position that requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in human resources and business partnership. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to university leadership, managers, staff, and faculty on all people-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Coach, advise, and guide university leadership, managers, staff, and faculty on employee and labour relations, recruitment, selection, retention, succession planning, performance planning and assessment, pay and benefits administration, career planning and development, and employee engagement.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the university's goals and objectives.
- Provide expert advice on labour relations, employee relations, onboarding, organization reviews, job evaluation, and salary administration.
- Support the advancement of faculty and staff initiatives through targeted HR projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve organizational performance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A related degree combined with progressive human resource experience as a generalist and business partner.
- Experience working in a highly complex, unionized environment is preferred.
- Experience in a post-secondary environment is considered an asset.
