Job Summary

We are seeking a student to join our team as a Student Project Coordinator. This role will provide you with a business-relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate drawings and work-specific scope/trades.
  • Review trade quotes, verify material quantities, hours, and rates.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Conduct deficiency walks and update deficiency logs.
  • Issue warranties.
  • Take and coordinate progress photos.
  • Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs.
  • Coordinate sub-trade work.
  • Verify site conditions and coordinate with drawings.
  • Supervise sub-trade work.
  • Set up and maintain record keeping.
  • Layout site lines and grades using total station.
  • Update project schedules.
  • Create manual schedules and update schedules.
  • Obtain scheduling information from sub-trades.
  • Create and maintain graphical scheduling.
  • Monitor manpower productivity.

Requirements

  • You are currently enrolled in a Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering program.
  • You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently.
  • Ability to forge, grow, and maintain positive relationships.

  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
  • Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for our company or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries.
  • If you are selected for a role with client-specific requirements, you may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
