We are a fast-paced and innovative team within Amazon's advertising business, responsible for delivering world-class products and solutions that drive revenue growth for our Retail and Marketplace businesses.

**Job Overview**

As an AI Scientist II on the Bidding team, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies to help merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners succeed through native advertising.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Invent new experiences and influence customer-facing shopping experiences to help suppliers grow their retail business
  • Define a long-term science vision for our advertising business, driven fundamentally from our customers' needs
  • Translate that direction into specific plans for research and applied scientists, as well as engineering and product teams

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of building models for business application experience
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing
  • Experience in solving business problems through machine learning, data mining and statistical algorithms
  • Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results
  • Experience using Unix/Linux
  • Experience in professional software development

**Salary Estimate**

The estimated salary for this position is between $160,000 and $250,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
