We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at REgroup, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of all functions within the branch, ensuring effective supervision and support to meet performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily activities, including solid waste collection, route optimization, staffing, and the maintenance of physical property through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead financial management efforts, including regular P&L reviews and the planning and administration of the Branch Capital Budget.
- Monitor service issues such as customer complaints and missed pickups, maintaining a high standard of service quality.
- Ensure adherence to company safety programs and policies, reviewing and monitoring all safety issues to implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with legislation and contract obligations.
- Select, train, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure that employees possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their responsibilities effectively.
- Collaborate with the Vice President in the development of both short-term and long-term goals, policies, and objectives for the Branch.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a management or leadership role within waste management, recycling, or a related industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong background in logistics, environmental services, or operational management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software for reporting and communication.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L management.
