The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to provide medical care to patients, including examining patients, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.

Responsibilities- Examine patients and take their medical histories
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consult and refer to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Current PALS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- College of Family Physicians of Canada ER certification and current ATLS Certification considered an asset
