Urban Designer Opportunity

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a leading Planning and Design firm that integrates unique urban design and landscape architecture solutions across all scales and across a broad range of project typologies and spaces.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented intermediate or senior urban designer to join their growing team in Toronto, Ontario.

  • Contribute and co-lead in developing strong, creative and innovative design concepts on a broad range of urban design and campus planning projects.
  • Develop, collaborate and advance conceptual and schematic designs on urban design and campus planning projects.
  • Strong visualization skills to express design both in plan and three-dimensionally.
  • Prepare narrative reports and presentations that communicate the design process and concepts.
  • Analyze/synthesize and document project influences.
  • Assist in presentations and production of urban design and campus planning projects.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Assist in programming and project schedules.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience of related urban design, urban planning or landscape architecture.
  • Professional architectural degree required; Bachelor or Masters from an accredited university.
  • Strong Design skills and have worked on a variety of project types.
  • Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders including municipalities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
