Tarra Engineering and Structural consultants Inc. is seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and developing and preparing design sketches.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be proficient in creating accurate and detailed designs. You will work closely with our team of engineers and architects to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Develop and prepare design sketches
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
  • Prepare contracts and tenders
  • Write technical reports
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a consulting firm
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
