Tarra Engineering and Structural consultants Inc. is seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and developing and preparing design sketches.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be proficient in technical drawing software. You will work closely with our team of engineers and architects to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing engineering designs and drawings
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Developing and preparing design sketches
  • Preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Preparing contracts and tenders
  • Writing technical reports
  • Completing documentation packages and drawing sets
  • Examining drawings for conformity and errors
