Job Summary:
CB Canada is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger, processing checks, resolving accounts payable issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks, including opening, sorting, and distributing daily department mail.
- Execute additional tasks as needed to support the team.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Carry out a full-cycle accounts payable process, including verifying, logging, and mailing checks.
- Provide customer service to internal business partners, ensuring excellent communication and written skills.
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed.
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds.
- Prior experience in an accounts payable role is preferred.
- A degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Observant, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities.
