We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team at Maple Contractors Ltd. as a Mechanical Systems Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
- Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications for HVAC systems.
- Estimate costs and materials for HVAC projects.
- Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants.
- Test machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to HVAC systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Eligible for certification by a provincial or territorial association.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Dependability, organized, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle heavy loads, physically demanding work, and manual dexterity.
- Experience in the green economy sector.
- Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA).
- Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, steam, condensation, and water systems.
- Experience with process piping and boiler installation.
- Fast-paced environment.
