Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at PB-23 DRYWALL & CONSTRUCTION LTD. The successful candidate will assist in the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Measure weights to prepare for rigging and hoisting operations.
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and plan tasks accordingly.
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Assist in instructing apprentices and providing on-the-job training.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as needed.
  • Assemble tower cranes on site and ensure they are properly secured.
  • Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards.
Requirements
  • Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. The work schedule will be 35 to 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.

The primary language of work is English.
