Accounts Payable Specialist

Fed Finance is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Technician to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable, including vendor information and payment history
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Prepare and submit payment requests to the accounting team for approval
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements
- Attestation of college studies (AEC) or Diploma of professional studies (DEP) in accounting, combined with more than three (3) years of experience in accounts payable
- Experience with ERP-type computerized accounting systems, with a preference for knowledge of JD Edwards
- General knowledge of tax rules in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan
- Proficiency in Google IT tools, a plus
- Bilingual French/English (written and spoken)
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
