Job Overview

Nasdaq is seeking an experienced User Experience Designer to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled UX Designer who can create intuitive user experiences for desktop and mobile platforms using proven innovation methods, such as user personas, journey mapping and Design Thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and help set the direction of the product roadmap based upon client needs and business goals
  • Consider how the digital experience supports and aligns with offline touchpoints that the client has with the company
  • Gather and synthesize client, competitor and industry data to guide product design
  • Facilitate strategic, client-centric decisions made on product development
  • Create mockups and prototypes interaction designs, including user interaction models, information architectures and navigation models, wireframes and screen flows
  • Plan and execute research on mockups, prototypes and existing interfaces, analyze study artifacts to create actionable findings, create recommendations for improvement and iterate designs based on research recommendations
  • Facilitate design workshops, ideation sessions and client co-creation sessions
  • Communicate and present user needs and design solutions to key stakeholders
  • Measure, monitor and communicate a dashboard of key performance indicators related to product usage and client sentiment.
  • Educational Background: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Human Computer Interactions, Graphic Design, Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree in related field or business helpful.
  • Experience: 5 or more years in a user experience design role.
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based and mobile applications, and has knowledge of usability best practices.
  • Special Qualifications: Proficiency with wireframing, prototyping and/or interface design software, such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD or Balsamiq, and general knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
