Job Description for Cook at Neighbours Pub

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Neighbours Pub. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team to deliver high-quality food to our customers. You will be required to work in a standing position for long periods and lift heavy objects.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
