Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care to our residents, including assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing emotional support
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate care transitions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and medication lists
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the provincial or territorial authorities
- Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
- CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
- Geriatric experience an asset
