Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned CORPORATE ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL to join our team at WP Osborne Executive Search Inc. as a Manager, Corporate Accounting.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain exposure to all aspects of corporate finance and work with a dynamic team who prioritize process improvement and excel in their specialties.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of two and managing full-cycle corporate accounting duties, including preparation of financial statements and internal reporting, treasury, accounts payable, and tax planning for our corporate entities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of corporate finance responsibilities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee full-cycle corporate accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for operating companies, holding companies, and corporate entities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements of investment funds and corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating audit processes and ensuring the timely provision of required documentation.
  • Coordinate with tax advisor and tax authorities, ensuring the smooth and timely completion of tax compliance.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and bank accounts management.
  • Assist with fund accounting activities, including tracking, and reporting, valuations, and other fund-related transactions.
  • Prepare and oversee payroll administration.
  • Oversee HST returns, payroll remittances, inter-company reconciliations, ongoing management of Yardi software, and other corporate finance activities.
  • Lead and develop the corporate finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A University Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • A CPA-CA or CPA designation.
  • 7 plus years of public accounting or industry experience.
  • A thorough understanding of accounting principles, specifically IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, efficiently prioritize, and work under timelines.
  • A strong foundation in accounting.
