Job Title: Corporate Legal Professional

Estimated Salary: Up to $80,000 per annum.

Location: Toronto, Ontario.

Kent Legal is a leading law firm in Canada, and we are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with top-tier partners and contribute to the success of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist two senior partners with various tasks, including preparing and drafting correspondence and legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients via email and phone calls.
  • Prepare engagement letters, manage calendars, and schedule web meetings as required.
  • Organize and maintain client files, both physically and electronically.
  • Responsible for daily correspondence, document preparation, drafting, and filing court documents.
  • Prepare closing books of documents and manage electronic organization of all correspondence documents.
  • Prepare internal and external communications, including letters, emails, and memos.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Post dockets and manage physical and electronic file preparation and management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate law.
  • Successful completion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma program.
  • Tax/Corporate experience is considered an asset but not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, DocuSign, and document management systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
