About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labourer to join our team at Hall Constructors. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work safely around powered mobile equipment, understanding right of way, blind spots, and pinch points.
  • Communicate effectively with equipment operators using hand signals.
  • Act as a spotter for powered mobile equipment, when properly trained.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions and confined spaces, if required.
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Follow basic verbal instructions and respect the chain of command.
  • Organize tools and keep pathways clear.
  • Assist crew members in placing signage/barricades to protect designated work zones.
  • Interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months experience is preferred.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to the job site.
Technical Skills
  • Understand Hazard Assessments and Safe Work Procedures.
  • Identify tools and understand their function.
  • Set up pumps and sumps.
  • Mix grout.
  • Understand site layout.
  • Aware of encroachment distances to overhead and underground utilities.
  • Install fences.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Great attitude towards safety.
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a team atmosphere.
  • Exceptional customer service.
