Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our Medical Device Reprocessing Team, you will be responsible for performing a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing, and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for various areas of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, sterilization, and reassembly of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments
  • Conduct function testing and quality control checks on medical devices
  • Prepare and distribute medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments to various areas of the hospital
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of medical device processing and distribution
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of medical devices and supplies

Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. medical technology, biomedical engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical device reprocessing or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
