Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings
  • Answer telephones, respond to general correspondence, and maintain accurate records
  • Perform data entry, word processing, and other administrative tasks
  • Compile and enter statistical information, and prepare reports
  • Manage medical supplies, equipment, and other resources
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and ensure necessary instruments and supplies are available
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
Requirements
  • Current Typing Test 40 wpm or greater completed within the past 24 months from a recognized institution
  • Medical Office Assistant Certificate
  • Current valid BC Driver's License
  • Resume and Cover Letter stating availability to start in a new position
