Job Summary

Apollo Health & Beauty Care is seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products, equipment, and materials within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate an electric-powered counterbalance forklift in a safe and efficient manner to place, retrieve, and move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, racking, and production areas.
  • Ensure packaging areas are appropriately supplied with materials, and products are removed from packaging lines in a timely manner to maintain continuous production flow without interruption.
  • Manage the movement of pallets of materials and products to keep packaging and staging areas clear and organized at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements as required by the facility.
  • May perform or assist with duties of other handlers as required to cover absences and vacations.
  • Ensure the forklift is checked for safe operation before the start of each shift and escalate any safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Must be reliable with attention to detail in completing tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Should have experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and production areas.
  • Must consistently follow instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and accurately complete forms and other paperwork in compliance with requirements.
  • Must be able to work morning or afternoon shifts as assigned, normally 6 days per week, and work extra hours as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years' experience with a high school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Valid counterbalance forklift safety training certificate required.
Working Conditions

This role will be working in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, noise, or temperature extremes. Occasional exposure to chemicals, fumes, or smoke may also be present.
