Service Advisor Role at Budds' Group of Companies

We are seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Budds' Group of Companies. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling Service Appointments: Coordinate with customers to schedule service appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Opening Work Orders: Accurately document customer issues and needs, outlining specific problems and required repairs.
  • Recommending Repairs: Explain the nature of required automotive maintenance and repairs to customers, securing agreement before proceeding.
  • Communicating with Technicians: Effectively communicate with Service Technicians to obtain information on needed vehicle repairs, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers informed of repair progress, communicating the need for additional work when necessary.
  • Warranty and Maintenance: Explain warranty policies and factory-recommended maintenance schedules to customers, ensuring they understand their vehicle's needs.
  • Technical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership, providing expert advice to customers.
  • Customer Service: Encourage vehicle service and maintenance by advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles.
  • Complaint Resolution: Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum 1 year related customer service experience, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Basic mechanical and automotive product knowledge is an asset, with the ability to communicate technical information to customers.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of related in-house dealership computer systems an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Highly effective listening, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Teamwork: A team player with excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
