Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Saskatchewan) Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, as well as preparing pre-qualification submissions and estimate reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare pre-qualification submissions and estimate reports
  • Advise on tendering procedures and monitor contract expenditures
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Excellent knowledge of estimating packages, databases, spreadsheets, and MS Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
