Job Title: Air Pilot

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Pilot to join our team at Diamond Aircraft Industries.

Job Summary:

The Air Pilot will be responsible for flying fixed wing aircraft or helicopters, following emergency procedures, monitoring aircraft systems, and performing post-flight inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fly fixed wing aircraft or helicopters
  • Follow emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunction or failure
  • Monitor operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight
  • Perform post-flight inspections
  • Record equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight
  • Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel
  • Test new aircraft to evaluate performance
  • Co-ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control
  • Conduct in-flight tests and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and systems
  • Conduct pre-flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution
  • Contact control towers for takeoff clearances and arrival instructions
  • Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters
  • Prepare flight evaluation reports
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot Licence - fixed wing
  • Transport Canada flight instructor rating
  • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - fixed wing
  • Flight instrument rating
  • Multi-instrument Flight Rating
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General flight instructor rating
  • Airplane instructor rating
  • General aviation experience
  • Secondary school education
