Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Pilot to join our team at Diamond Aircraft Industries. As a key member of our flight operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Operations
    • Conduct pre-flight inspections of aircraft to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Fly fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters, following established flight plans and procedures.
    • Monitor the operation of engines and aircraft systems during flight, taking corrective action as necessary.
    • Perform post-flight inspections to identify and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Communication and Coordination
    • Coordinate flight activities with ground crews and air traffic control, ensuring smooth and safe operations.
    • Communicate with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters to stay informed about weather conditions and flight plans.
    • Respond to and report in-flight emergencies and malfunctions, taking necessary action to ensure safety.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Record equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight.
    • Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel, ensuring timely and effective maintenance.
  • Training and Development
    • Conduct in-flight tests and monitor the functioning of aircraft equipment and systems.
    • Prepare flight evaluation reports to document performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Commercial Pilot Licence - fixed wing
    • Transport Canada flight instructor rating
    • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - fixed wing
    • Flight instrument rating
    • Multi-instrument Flight Rating
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial pilot
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Leadership and collaborative skills
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work environment is commercial aviation, with regular travel required. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel regularly, including internationally.
