HR Generalist

Vintage Hotels is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team, offering a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum.
As a key member of our human resources department, you will provide strategic guidance and support to management and staff on all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, training, health and safety, and employee engagement. Your primary focus will be on talent acquisition and development, ensuring that we attract, retain, and develop top talent within the organization.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with a minimum of three years' experience in a progressive role, preferably in the hospitality industry. A postgraduate degree in human resources or a related field is required, along with certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or equivalent. Knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Ontario Human Rights Code, is essential.
Your expertise will include:
- Full-cycle recruitment: lead, execute, and participate in the recruitment process, creating strategies to support staffing needs;
- Relationship building: establish relationships with community partners, participating in job fairs and networking events;
- Reporting: prepare regular reports through ADP systems, including labor turnover statistics and outstanding training;
- Training facilitation: design and deliver interactive training programs for new and existing employees, promoting a motivating learning environment;
- Onboarding: enroll new employees in company onboarding modules, tracking completion progress and updating managers;
- Social media content creation: develop engaging content for the company's careers social media pages, highlighting the company culture;
- Health and safety: participate in monthly joint health and safety committee meetings, ensuring follow-up items are actioned;
- WSIB claims management: facilitate return-to-work programs for employees as required.
In addition, you will conduct exit interviews, track stay interviews, and assist with planning and executing company events. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, staff, and external partners.
