We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Report Author to join our team at WSP in Edmonton or Calgary. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to evaluate risk and advise on contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons, salinity, and/or metals.

About the Role

As a Technical Report Author, you will contribute expertise in various areas, including:

  • Participating in a team environment and working closely with Project Managers and Field Technicians;
  • Producing high-quality written technical reports in support of environmental site assessment, monitoring, and remediation projects;
  • Preparing Site closure documentation (Conceptual Site Model, Record of Site Condition);
  • Comparing lab results to site-specific regulatory guidelines and/or protocols for reporting needs;
  • Generating and QA/QC regulatory checklists, forms, and other documents to meet project requirements;
  • Creating, executing, and revising work plans to meet Project Manager's needs;

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Environmental Science and/or Engineering, and 2-4 years of direct experience in contaminated site assessments, site monitoring, and remediation.

Key skills and attributes include strong technical writing skills, sound understanding of health and safety procedures, and ability to work patiently with and help train less experienced team members.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
