Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Galactic Transport Logistics Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, while ensuring timely and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Safely transport and deliver messages, parcels, and other items by hand, adhering to company protocols and regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Transportation: Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to strict safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Event Support: Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences, or assemblies, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Package Sorting: Sort packages for delivery, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Trip Planning: Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and reduce delivery times.
  • Record Keeping: Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
Requirements
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of packages.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation principles.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules.
