Job Overview

As a Site Superintendent with Qualico Canada, you will oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating with trade partners and suppliers to schedule material deliveries and labor.
  • Inspecting work to ensure it meets Qualico's standards and all building and safety code requirements.
  • Interpreting plans and specifications, identifying and resolving issues, and communicating with the project management team.
  • Supervising and developing on-site team members, providing guidance and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ensuring adherence to Qualico's Safety Program and relevant safety legislation, performing site safety orientations and leading regular safety meetings.
  • Meeting with customers prior to possession to inspect homes and address any concerns or inquiries, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining project schedules, completing regular progress reports, and providing updates to the project management team.

Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of site superintendent experience in residential construction.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs, and construction management software.
  • Physically able to perform basic construction duties.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with homeowner walk-throughs and key releases is an asset.

Work Conditions

You will primarily work on-site during regular business hours, with occasional travel to the regional office or other site locations. Work may involve exposure to noise, occupational hazards, and inclement weather.
