We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Pilots to join our team at Forest Protection Limited.

Competitive Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience, plus flight pay.

About the Job

This is a seasonal opportunity for Pilots to work with our team during the wildfire season. As a Wildland Firefighter Pilot, you will be responsible for operating aircraft in accordance with our Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Responsible for bombing run assessments and coordinating air tanker activity around active wildfires.
  • Operate assigned aircraft safely and efficiently.
  • Perform all key job duties and any other assigned by the Flight Operations Management team from time to time.
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects.
  • Complete required pre-flight and post-flight paperwork in a timely and thorough manner.

You will work closely with our team to ensure effective communication, discipline, and sound decision-making skills are exercised throughout the season.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing.
  • Have obtained at least 3000hrs of Pilot in Command (PIC), 500hrs turbine and 500hrs multi engine.
  • Have a valid IFR.
  • Previous experience in aerial suppression operations will be an asset qualification, but not required.
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset.
