Job Description

The Industrial Mechanic will repair and maintain plant equipment and facilities by working from specifications such as blueprints, sketches, and verbal descriptions. As a key member of our team at Stellantis, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities, providing critical support to our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems;
  • Work from specifications and blueprints to complete tasks, and interpret verbal descriptions to ensure accuracy;
  • Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations;
  • Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues, and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime;
  • Comply with all safety procedures and protocols, and report any incidents or near-misses to management.

Requirements

  • Must have a Certificate of Qualification and a Certificate of Apprenticeship;
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, and have a working knowledge of pneumatics;
  • Basic Qualifications: Successfully completed a mechanical apprentice training course and have a journeyman/woman license;
  • Preferred Qualifications: Possess good fabrication and troubleshooting skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
