Construction Safety Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Safety Specialist to join our team at Select People Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining site compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine safety inspections to identify and proactively address potential hazards
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors and crew members to promote a safety-first culture
- Communicate safety guidelines, conduct on-site training, and reinforce best practices among team members
- Document and report any incidents or safety issues, ensuring corrective actions are promptly taken
- Assist with developing and implementing safety protocols as needed, adapting to the dynamic needs of the site
Requirements:
- 2+ years of construction experience – commercial construction site familiarity preferred
- Class 5 driver's license as you will be traveling to different site areas
- Knowledge of safety practices in construction, with training provided to expand your expertise
- Strong communication skills to engage with team members effectively on safety practices
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to identify and mitigate safety risks
Bonus Points:
- Current safety designations such as NCSO, CSC, etc.
