About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team at Rally Engineering. As a key member of our Electrical Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering design services for various projects.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop and implement electrical designs in compliance with established project, department, company, client, and regulatory codes and standards.
  • Translate client specifications and project requirements into detailed drawings, sketches, and lists of materials.
  • Name and file documents according to client and company standards and procedures.
  • Incorporate results of preliminary and multi-discipline reviews into designs, ensuring accuracy, functionality, safety, and completeness prior to submission for checking.
  • Identify potential change notices or project variances, including scope, budget, and schedule deviations, and communicate these findings to the Discipline Lead (Designer and/or Engineer).
  • Pursue ongoing learning and professional development to broaden engineering knowledge and stay current with industry advancements.
  • Collaborate with discipline leads and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-10 years of experience in electrical design and drafting, preferably with a focus on equipment engineering.
  • Technical diploma or certificate from a recognized technology program; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Registration with applicable provincial governing bodies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drafting software, as well as 3D design/drafting software such as AutoPlant, Plant 3D, or OpenPlant.
  • Strong expertise in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is between $70,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
