About the Role

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer. As the health and wellness partner to over 200 diverse First Nations communities, the successful candidate will bring a track record of successful senior leadership experience, preferably in a similar sized organization supporting a complex public sector organization or with a First Nations organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization
  • Develop and implement effective healthcare solutions that meet the needs of First Nations communities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and partners
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services that are culturally safe and responsive to the needs of First Nations people
  • Lead the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan
Requirements
  • Proven track record of successful senior leadership experience
  • Expertise in non-profit management and knowledge of healthcare developments, transformation, and First Nations perspectives on culturally safe care
  • Knowledge of healthcare issues and health service delivery, particularly public health and First Nations health and wellbeing practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire deep engagement with the community and enhance the reputation of the organization
