Part Time Deafblind Support Specialist

Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada is seeking a Part Time Deafblind Support Specialist to join our team in Cambridge, ON.
The successful candidate will support communication and day-to-day living for individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment so that they may live independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals in their home and community environments.
- Use communication techniques to relay information.
- Empower individuals to participate and be successful in daily living activities.
- Provide personal care as required.
- Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives.
- Assist with program development and documentation.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related field.
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
