The Family Support Counsellor I reports to the Program Supervisor and is responsible for delivering family support services to children and families in the care of Wood's Homes. This includes in-home support, school liaison, and community coordination as needed.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Completing program-related assessments and establishing goals with families.
  • Advocating for families and developing resource networks.
  • Providing parent skills training and individual/family counselling.
  • Intervening in crisis situations and providing follow-up care.
