Job Title: Internal Auditor

At DUCA Financial Services Credit Union Ltd., we're seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our Audit team. As an Internal Auditor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits across the organization, identifying areas of risk, and providing recommendations to mitigate those risks. You'll work closely with our Audit team to ensure that our internal controls are operating effectively and that we're meeting regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork and testing to identify areas of risk and ensure that internal controls are operating effectively
  • Develop and implement audit programs to test the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Prepare draft reports for review by the Manager, Internal Audit, on audit findings and recommendations
  • Present objective and independent conclusions regarding the adequacy of internal controls
  • Maintain awareness of emerging risks and assess potential impacts on the business
  • Conduct research to identify benchmarks and industry best practices for risk management
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with the team and internal and external business partners
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of internal or external audit experience
