Senior Vice President of Human Resources

About the Role:
We're seeking an exceptional Senior Vice President of Human Resources to lead our People Strategy and Culture function. As a strategic partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture and employee experience. Your primary focus will be on driving business results while fostering a workplace that attracts, engages, and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Collaborate with our executive team to design and execute HR strategies that align with our company goals and values. This includes developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs that drive business outcomes and support our employees.
- Lead a High-Performing HR Team: Oversee the Learning & Development Manager and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure they are equipped to deliver strategic HR initiatives and elevate the employee experience.
Learning & Development:
- Culture of Continuous Learning: Champion a culture where employees feel empowered to grow and upskill themselves. Drive the adoption of innovative learning technologies to create scalable, interactive, and personalized learning experiences.
- Onboarding and Career Pathways: Develop and implement onboarding programs that set the tone for a successful journey with us. Create career pathways that support employees' long-term career goals and reinforce internal growth and retention.
Performance Management with Heart:
- Design and Lead Performance Management: Develop a performance management system that balances KPIs with real growth and meaningful impact. Oversee the company's mid-year and annual performance evaluation processes to ensure alignment with company goals and individual growth.
Candidate Requirements:
- Background & Expertise: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience: 8+ years in HR, with at least 5 in a senior role overseeing the full HR function and driving strategic initiatives
- Strategic Vision & Empathy: Demonstrate a balance of high performance and people-centered leadership
- Canadian Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of Canadian labour laws and employee relations practices
- Excellent Communication: Effective communication and coaching skills
Work Environment:
This role is ideally based in Toronto or Ottawa, with the request to work on-site 1–2 days a week. Some travel to other team locations or industry events may be required on rare occasions.
