At Scotiabank, we're seeking a skilled Financial Planner to join our team in Downtown Montreal. As a Financial Planner, you will focus on developing and deepening client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service within the mass affluent market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting in-depth reviews for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning.
- Exhibiting a natural curiosity to uncover and solve for client needs, delivering trusted financial advice to clients regarding their investments and retirement planning.
- Demonstrating self-motivation and a goal-oriented mindset when identifying clients' needs to craft personalized financial strategies and solutions.
- Fostering strong engagement, educating clients, offering insights, and delivering expert advice.
- Exercising a collaborative approach when dealing with peers, clients, and partners.
- Building relationships, focusing on providing a great client experience and growing long-standing relationships with existing clients.
Requirements include:
- Experience in financial planning and investment sales is preferred.
- Successfully completed (or working towards) the IQPF designation within Quebec.
- You're an accredited mutual funds professional in good standing with CIRO licensing requirements (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- You're able to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur with minimal supervision.
- Knowledgeable of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
