Make a Difference in Mental Health Care

At Homewood Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients. As a Registered Practical Nurse in our Emergency Mental Health team, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate care to patients in psychiatric crisis, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments, as well as provide group facilitation and education to patients and families.
  • Assess and prevent suicide, as well as manage aggressive behavior through non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, engaging with our team to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Licensed as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in Mental Health/Acute Assessment/Community Crisis care.
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and community health resources.
  • Current CPR/Basic Rescuer certification.
  • Knowledge of documentation standards (CNO), and privacy legislation (PHIPPA).
