Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Audit Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion, ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients. Your expertise will be essential in adding value to our clients' businesses throughout the audit engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage audits of our clients, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing group business plans and meet the goals of the assurance financial plan.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Previous experience using ASPE, PSAB, and ASNPO.
  • Excellent client service skills, with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and develop strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service, with a proven track record of building a client base and adding revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
