Job Overview
Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Manager to oversee the organization's Laboratory Information System (LIS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of LIS software modules, service level objectives, and experience in managing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all LIS projects to ensure timely delivery of solutions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Co-coordinate LIS technical design and infrastructure, including servers, storage, backup, networks, and supporting tools.
- Manage reliable availability and capacity of the LIS, creating plans for disaster recovery and optimization.
- Collaborate with the IS team for the selection of appropriate security solutions for the LIS.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or related health discipline.
- Current College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) registration.
- Minimum 5 years' clinical laboratory experience in a healthcare/hospital environment.
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting a complex LIS system.

Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education in computer/information science area.
- Completion of leadership or managerial training.
- Experience in a healthcare leadership position.

Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with Laboratory Information systems (LIS), including configuration and maintenance of key components.
- Experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- HL7 messaging and standards knowledge.
- Advanced working knowledge with query language and protocols for data access.
- Technical understanding of operating systems and troubleshooting.
