Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team at Loblaw Companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized produce department.
- Schedule department staff to meet business needs and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Comply with all Health and Safety and Food Safety policies, and ensure that all staff follow these policies.
- Delegate and prioritize workload for staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Effectively merchandise advertising and promotional programs to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
- Recommend aggressive and achievable sales goals, and maintain up-to-date information about market trends and competitor activities.
- Ensure proper product rotation, receiving, storing, and handling to maintain efficient and effective results.
- Ensure proper signage for produce displays to enhance sales and profits.
- Ensure pricing integrity and accountability for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee.
- Perform any other duties required to ensure courteous, friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets and maintains hygiene standards.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the no-frills concept, including low price image.
- Demonstrated understanding of the produce department's impact on store performance, including merchandising, inventory management, and cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
- Ability to manage people and work with minimal functional direction.
- Solid knowledge of all aspects of the produce area, operations, and products.
- Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
