Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Regent Hotel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and motivated.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage teams.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Guest Services
    • Ensure that all guests receive a high level of service and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
    • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, including rooms, public areas, and equipment.
    • Manage the hotel's inventory and supplies, ensuring that they are adequate and well-organized.
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to ensure that the hotel's goals and objectives are met.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and implement training programs for hotel staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Provide feedback and coaching to staff members to help them improve their performance.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with staff, guests, and other departments to ensure that everyone is working together to achieve the hotel's goals.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, guests, and other stakeholders to ensure that the hotel is seen as a welcoming and inclusive place to stay.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Knowledge of hotel operations and management principles
Work Environment

The Hotel Operations Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Physical Demands

The Hotel Operations Supervisor will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a variety of environments, including hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
