Child and Youth Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Psychiatrist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive, quality client-centered care to individuals and their families.

The 16-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (IPU) offers Acute Mental Health and Substance Use services in a safe, secure, and accessible facility for the South Okanagan region. Our well-established integrated Adult Mental Health programs include Short Term Counseling, Community Case Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, Physical Activation, Anxiety and Depression, DBT groups, as well as Seniors Mental Health and Rural Outreach.

Our community child and youth mental health program features individual counselling, group counselling, DBT program, and integrated psychiatric services. You will have the opportunity to teach medical students and participate in quality improvement and program development activities.

The current call requirement is approximately 1:5 to 6 days and rotating weekends, with remuneration at MOCAP Level 2. This position may also involve general psychiatry. Leadership Development Opportunities are available through Interior Health's NAVIG8 Program, a comprehensive leadership development program designed for physicians.
